"These guys showed up because they were offended by something protected by the First Amendment, and they were introduced to the Second Amendment."

The second amendment does not come into play here at all. The second amendment protects the right of individuals to own firearms, not the government.

Still, good for that officer! Two terrorists who were prepared to die and had superior firepower in less than 15 seconds is a great start to ISIS season.

Don' go to Texas to play unless you want to play Cowboys and Muslims....

Those two clowns got passed through the background system!
One was being "monitered" by the FBI.
Soo...What's REALLY going on here?.........

Only in the minds of gun grabbers does a 9mm semi-automatic carbine constitute either "superior firepower" or an "assault weapon". These two would-be killer clowns got exactly what they deserved and what they were looking for (though somewhat quicker than they had expected).

My understanding is that the defending officer was off duty, so maybe the Second does apply....

I have no heard anything regarding what these guy were carrying, though the officer was using a 0.45 ACP Glock (which I know has stopping power). As for the Cowboys & ??, I remind everyone they came from the West like the old Commanches of the late 1800s. They got around the Federal forces, but not around the Lawmen of Texas. I in truth wonder if the officer can be nominated to become a Full Texas Ranger.
