Dumb crooks

Yet another dumb crook

Posted by David Hardy · 1 March 2014 05:25 PM

Man comes to courthouse security checkpoint, empties pockets for the x-ray machine, dropping a baggie of cocaine into the tray. When questioned, he explains the pants he is wearing are not his. Oh, and he already had a felony warrant out for him.

Man robs wrong bank

Posted by David Hardy · 2 November 2012 06:49 PM

You'd think the signs on the door reading "“Management recognizes the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution as an unalienable right of all citizens" would have told him this was not the bank to rob. As it was, there weren't any armed customers there at the moment, so the bank president had to use his own gun.

Incompetent local crook

Posted by David Hardy · 23 June 2010 07:56 AM

From this morning's paper: John Catania plead out to armed robbery, agg assault and kidnapping. He faces 10 to 70 years when sentenced.

He was apprehended after a pizza place reported being robbed. As the robber reached for the money, he put the gun in his waistband, and it fired, shooting him in the leg. Catania limped home and had his girlfriend call 911; when questioned he claimed he'd been shot by two guys for no known reason. I guess he thought police would not put two and two together....

Another case of armed criminal disarmed by citizen

Posted by David Hardy · 27 March 2009 12:50 PM

Howard Nemerov discusses it here. Gun wielding crook invades house, homeowner wrestles with him for gun, crook shoots self, homeowner's girlfriend stabs crook, crook flees.

The antis have the narrative of armed citizen being disarmed by criminal, but it's all other way around. The victim has the advantage of not being drug-addled or drunk, having twice the intellect and judgment of the aggressor, and of standing on the defensive.

Dumb crooks -- felon in possession

Posted by David Hardy · 6 June 2008 07:26 PM

Note: if a person is a felon, they shouldn't possess a firearm. And if they do, they shouldn't take a picture of themselves doing so. And if they do take such a picture, they shouldn't use somebody else's camera phone.
