Hunter Biden moves to dismiss firearm charges

Posted by David Hardy · 14 December 2023 01:17 PM

He's arguing the unconstitutionality, under Bruen, of the federal ban on possession of guns by illicit drug users.

Maybe the prosecution can produce evidence that his FWB, aware of his drug consumption habits, decided that those habits predisposed Hunter toward violence, irrational behavior, and so forth, and decided to dispose of his firearm to protect herself and Hunter. And the manner of disposal was such to suggest that she thought the possession was illegal, in part due to what she knew Hunter thought about that possession. Has she been interviewed?

If I am not mistaken, the question on the 4473 reads, "unlawful user of or addicted to a controlled substance.

It's not the Hail Mary pass some might think.

While we're at it, maybe there should be prosecution of the FWB's unlawful disposal of that firearm as well. Though that might interfere with her cooperation with prosecuting Hunter here, or for other offenses.

How quaint, you seem to think there will actually be trails and repercussions and punishment meted out. Joe Biden's DoJ charged Hunter so he can claim he is under indictment and cannot be compelled to testify elsewhere until the case against him is closed. Once the election is over, but before the new pres is sworn in, Joe Biden's DoJ will attempt to quietly drop charges. This is what 10% to the big guy buys you.
