Rittenhouse case continues down the tubes

Posted by David Hardy · 10 November 2021 02:39 PM

Video here. Judge rips the prosecutor a new one, with good reason, and the prosecutor doesn't back down and apologize, but continues with a tone and body language that suggests defiance. Where did they get these people?

Along the lines of a comment I made in an earlier thread: the prosecutor may be seeing he's probably got a loser on his hands, and is just trying to do everything he can for the camera - showing he's fighting as hard as possible - to keep from getting his own house burned down (in a mostly peaceful protest, of course) when he loses the case.

That DA's family owns the town (or thinks they do)

The city and who knows what other institutions have other litigation going on from the events that night. The DA's seemingly directionless and pointless questioning (as concerning the facts of this particular case) may be done with consideration for establishing certain facts on the record to support those other matters - I mean, it's all I can think of at times to explain these relentless episodes of irrelevant questioning.

I get that with Rittenhouse today he was trying to discredit the witness and badger him to the point of forcing some outburst (melt down explosion rather than just melt softly). Props to counsel for good prep of Kyle, which they may have been doing for days, every day, up until now.

But it seems a lot of the questioning today and the last few (trial) days have been around facts that are immaterial to the questions before the jury. I do appreciate the observation from others that the prosecutor probably didn't actually want this case to go to trial and maybe even wants a mistrial declared. That would let certain political factions cry foul while resting on more ambiguity than they otherwise could if the jury comes out and deliberately says "not guilty".

All I can say is that I’ll be very disappointed if ‘binger’ does not catch on as an epithet in the legal world.

Think this DA like to restart trial, reframe the approach. Judge is likely deciding if prosecution misconduct, violating pretrial decisions is sabotage is evident. Seem to recall judge was to conference on possible coaching prosecution witness, got caught by response to cross examination [said he discussed his testimony with DA???] If fact, this trial over. Maybe is DA's legal career too.

I am pretty sure that the judge will not do anything, because he is part of the "show". The Prosecutor didn't plan on appearing quite such a fool (may be a new-bee prosecutor got "handled things" as part of its training.)

I think that "jeopardy" attaches when the trial begins, so a "do-over" is unlikely, although possible if there are grounds for a dismissal and retrial.

I'd guess that the entire show was a warning to any other person who might resist the Progressive "thugs" that such action will drive them to bankruptsy and desolation. The next guy will not have the outside support that Rittenhouse got, so they would have to face financial ruin to defend themselves or their business. I suspect that the Progressives still have plans for that town and it would be hard to recruit rioters and arsonists for a "kill zone". Hence this prolonged, over-charged case over a simple self defense incident. The dead and maimed were loosers that no one cares about, but "next time"........

I think that the "plan" is pretty simple. Burn out and trash the core of the burg so a replacement population of colonists (what do you think all those illegal aliens are for?) will have a patch of "open" ground. It worked in Compton, Calif, even when the colonists had to drive the Black gang-bangers out of their "hides".

The Prosecution here is inept but don't think that the rest of the scheme will be as chaotic. Those Illegals are being recruited for as reason. The push on "gun control" is another way to demoralize and possibly disarm the White residents who might resist and defend what is "theirs". A new prosperous "colony" means profit for the property owners and grift for the "pols". Don't over-think the chaos just because the Progressives are happy to play along with the Corruptocrats and the Chamber (Pot) of Commerce RINOs.
