A morning uplift

From Everytown for Gun Control (alias for something more acceptable-sounding):

"Across the country, the NRA has convinced lawmakers to pass permitless carry--a dangerous law that allows people to carry hidden, loaded handguns in public without a background check or any safety training. Starting today, Texas is the 20th state with a permitless carry law in effect, marking a dangerous new chapter for gun safety in the state."

Presumably they have raised this same alarm 19 times before? By now, the announcement should contain a link to all the news stories of people who took advantage of these "reckless" laws in 19 other states to commit horrendous acts of violence. What? Oh.

Maybe we should call it criminal carry instead of constitutional carry? The industrial disarmament complex don't seem very concerned when they "carry hidden, loaded handguns in public without a background check or any safety training."

And then, quite unexpectedly, nothing happened.
