California to release 76,000 violent or repeat offenders

Posted by David Hardy · 2 May 2021 02:34 PM

Story here. Strange these folks don't recognize that it's hard to sell the public on an agenda of (1) release tens of thousands of inmates before their time; (2) defund the police; and (3) disarm the public.

I believe this comes under the heading of "Give them what they want, good and hard!" This is what they voted for, this is what they deserve. After the feral horde sweeps through CA, they can lend a hand with the final destruction of OR and WA, too.

Fed order: Reduce your prison population; you are too crowded.

CA reaction: Move some prisoners elsewhere (county) and release a lot of others. THEN CLOSE SOME PRISONS.

I fail to see the logic, but then it's like reasoning with a drunk. Waste of time.

...Three Budget Items absorb 92% of California's budget: Education (52%) , medication and incarceration. Any cuts in the other line items are just chump change. So releasing felons early will save a lot of money the Demwitz can spend to buy loyalty and votes elsewhere. Cutting edjucation or medication isn't an option. Too many Dim voters would be hurt. And Felons families are one of the Dim's constituent groups. Governor Brown did send Felony prisoners to County Jails, but he didn't cut the Dept. of Corrections staff or close prisons, so no savings. Newsome is closing prisons ( High Desert ) and laying off staff.
...Crime victims and retail businesses are not Dim constituents.
..Punish your enemies and reward your supporters. Makes perfect political sense .

Newsomlini is pandering to the loudest voices, just as politicians always do. I know a half dozen CA sheeple who live in the SF Bay area. They think water shortages, power brown-outs, wild fires, lawlessness, and homeless camps are signs of a well governed progressive paradise.
Really!

Number 3 should be "disarm the law abiding", since the criminals are allowed guns if they don't mind the inconvenience of an occasional catch and release.

It is becoming more and more likely that this part
of a long term plan. Release criminals, disarm the
public, defund the police. When the resulting
carnage becomes clear even to unbalanced libs they
will raise a cry for a FEDERAL POLICE FORCE...ie
standing army.

What Curt said. They want to take control of policing from locals.

Yeah, defunding is a feint - they want all law enforcement under Federal control.
