Index of State gun laws, and more

Posted by David Hardy · 24 July 2019 02:32 PM

Ammo.com has compiled one. It has not only state gun laws, but ammo laws, CCW information, shooting associations, indexes of shooting ranges, and more.

Outdated...but it's a good idea.

Thanks for the link.
It isn't just an index of gun laws, it is (as they call it) a
"Resistance Library: Arming You Both Physically and Philosophically to Defend Our Civil Liberties". They avoid some of the pitfalls of the various printed "book of gun laws" copies by linking to state websites, other gun websites (like handgunlaw.us) and and current and former articles. It is an excellent resource.

Yeah, but what about all the states like Massachusetts where the law changes whenever the Attorney General decides to "reinterpret" it via press conference or routinely edited online FAQ? Or if the AGs create secret lists for what is or isn't allowed to be sold be retailers followed by vague threatening enforcement notices?

There are some states where it is virtually impossible to know if you are in compliance with the law because the apparatus of law enforcement and the judiciary does not follow, interpret, or even provide a copy of the law/regulations as written.
