A modest proposal

Carry out the well-regulated militia part of the Second Amendment with a guns for all program.

That's already a part of Article I Section 8 but Congress, unconstitutionally passed the Militia Act restricting membership, a power not granted. Congress is to provide for organizing (taking what's there as Militia), Arming, and disciplining the Militia. If thing were done constitutionally, every person able to keep and bear Arms, the standard definition of Militia ever since Fletcher, would be given proper military arms and required to attend training.

US v Perpich claims that the NG are the organized Militia and the rest of us are the unorganized Militia BUT during the 1787 Convention the Framers discussed having a select Militia, ie. NG, rather than using the whole of the People and that idea was shut down 3 times. So the SC once more erred because they lack knowledge of the debates.

It ain't hard to find this info. But one does have to read and not think one already knows everything.
