British proposal: register knives, and require them to be fitted with GPS

He appears to have been serious. So often anti-arms ideas read like something from The Onion!

I want to know when the GPS and registration requirements will be extended to clubs and club=like objects including but not limited to 12 inch adjustable wrenches and 4 ounce hammers.
I imagine these knives will also have USB-compatible ports on them, so as to conventiently allow the users to keep the GPS chip batteries fully charged.....
