Its government has made downloading or possessing the mosque killer's manifesto a crime, punishable by up to ten years' imprisonment.
Most people are unaware of the fact that the concept of the 2nd amendment applies to all humans, no matter where they are. The Right to Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness are endowed by the Creator on ALL. The difference between the US and the rest of the world lies in the beginning when a bunch of rebels decided to throw off the chains of old AND recognized that being armed was the palladium, to use Justice Story's word, of all Rights. These other governments were not founded on natural law and God-given Rights. The people in these countries have never been exposed to that thinking.
The danger is that even in the US human nature is such that the old ways of governing return to us because humans just do not change. Behavior of old becomes new. The Framers looked at what was and turned a 180 away but the persons elected as our servants have turned things back toward the old ways. The concept of the sovereignty of the individual who then transfers some small portion to the group is not taught. The desire of those in government is to expand their authority through claims of superiority when in fact in the US the federal government is the most limited of all governments. Because the People through their States created the federal government, the People and their States are superior in all areas not explicitly granted. The greatest damage has come from the Courts which have not true to the law of the People, the Constitution. The Courts, just as all the others, have stolen authority and subjected the People in the same fashion as the tribal leaders of old.
