U Tenn investigating Instapundit's Tweet
Right here. He suggested responding to Charlotte rioters shutting down and looting a highway by running them down. I suppose that is worthy of investigation. Obviously, an 18-wheeler would work, and maybe an SUV, but with a sedan you might damage the undercarriage, or at least require a front end realignment. Only experimentation and investigation can settle this.

Instapundit's immediatly preceding re-tweets (of Joe Bruno from WSOC9 about the couple who were at-that-moment in fear for their lives as their truck was being violently attacked by the rioters) are the necessary context for understanding what he meant.
If one reads the series of re-tweets in order, it is quite clear that he is advocating self-protection in the face of deadly violence -- even if as a consequence, your action to escape causes grave injury to one of those perpetrating the violence against you.
For his dean (and chancellor), in full possession of the facts and context, to misrepresent his clear meaning and intimate that he advocated violence? This is really quite shameful.
I agree.
I don't get the idea that someone could force me out of my vehicle....Especially if the engine is already running. I'd just run their miserable asses over, and then come around and make certain they are run over sufficiently.
With today's cars you might not get to far, now if it was a 1950 or 1960 steel hulk different story
