Should journalists be a new class of prohibited person?

Posted by David Hardy · 20 June 2016 09:31 AM

Iowahawk makes a strong case.

"Unrelated incidents, or mounting evidence of that America's newsrooms have become a breeding ground for murderous, drunk, gun-wielding child molesters? Answers are elusive, but the ever-increasing toll of violent crimes committed by journalists has led some experts to warn that without programs for intensive mental health care, the nation faces a potential bloodbath at the hands of psychopathic media vets.

"These people could snap at any minute," says James Treacher of the Treacher Institute for Journalist Studies. "We need to get them the help and medication they need before it's too late.""

And Democrats, too.

Or, since we are talking about restricting a fundamental civil right, perhaps all that needs to be done is limit when, where and how much journalists can write about firearms and related laws.

Or maybe insist that they actually learn about firearms and laws before they can write about them.

If it's OK for some states to require a license to purchase or carry concealed it's only fair that journalists should be required to get a license to write about guns.

Since the NRA has extensive experience and infrastructure in firearms training, they should be the ones to approve any license to gun-write.

Knowledgeable gun writers would have the option of testing out of the class. Unless they are Democrats.
