An unusual case of self-defense

Posted by David Hardy · 27 October 2014 03:53 PM

Woman draws gun on neighbor, holds him, after she discovers him raping her pit bull, he announces that ISIS sent him to do the deed, and tells her that she will die the moment she kills him.

Understatement of the year: "Woodruff said the man appeared mentally ill..."

Not self-defense.

There are a lot of factors that could affect the case. I'm thinking the lady is just protecting her property and her pet as well. Knowing that the man was mentally ill makes it difficult to weigh things. Perhaps, hiring the a lawyer is a great idea.

The lady said she keeps her gun in the bedroom and her ammunition in the car. What is the point of even owning a gun if you do that? I do not understand.

Want to bet the over/under?

1. 90 days from now the "neighbor" will be back in the neighborhood. His medications will have been adjusted, and he was released from the hospital.

2. Within two years there will be another "incident" because he stops taking his medications again.

I don't think that is self defense as it went over the limit.
