An interesting survey

Posted by David Hardy · 11 May 2014 02:48 PM

By PewResearch.

Findings:

The gun homicide rate has fallen by 49% over the last twenty years, and the rate for other gun crimes has fallen by 75%.

BUT...

"Despite national attention to the issue of firearm violence, most Americans are unaware that gun crime is lower today than it was two decades ago. According to a new Pew Research Center survey, today 56% of Americans believe gun crime is higher than 20 years ago and only 12% think it is lower."

Of course, we can thank the NRA for that. Oh, wait. The NRA has been telling the truth all along; it's been the gun control cabal and the main-stream media that keep talking about the horrible wave of non-existent gun crime.

Are you kidding me? We should thank the NRA for that?

I don't how knowledgeable you are about the NRA, but in this case, the NRA has nothing to do with it.

First Ken M was using sarcasm.

Second, the NRA is partly responsible for the decrease if you count all of the NRA certified instructors, training courses, etc. overall safety knowledge has gone up.

Also, if you look at the NRA and their support of Concealed carry throughout the U.S. you could draw a conclusion that their legislative support allowed more people to get their permits and protect themselves from the violent felons and criminals.

Don't put on blinders.

Liberal media creates perception and perception of an event or situation beats facts everyday, especially with the low information crowd.

The public does not know that the homicide rate is down especially the firearm rate because that does not fit the program. Can't demonize those gun owners and guns if there appears to be a positive aspect to it.

Mr Apple nailed it. I've watched it happen over and over. Even after they're caught lying, the media aka The Liberal Propaganda Machine will keep it going with absolutely no shame. Eventually, the lies are perceived as truth and we get what we have today. I'm still shocked that Obama was reelected and dumbfounded to hear anyone say they would vote for him again if they could. What do you say to that? You can't fix that. There's way too many people that refuse or they're too lazy to educate themselves and/or verify what they're being told.
