Request for stay denied in Sunnyvale case

Late today, Justice Kennedy denied the requested stay. This didn't surprise me -- odds of such a motion succeeding in this context seemed most slender. The fact that he ordered the City to respond, ASAP, was the main surprise.

Nice to have the City on record as to their argument. If SCOTUS ever does act they can address them all at once, and finally.
So now we wait ...What... 5 - 10 years?
There's something seriously wrong with a justice system that takes so long and costs so much (millions) to resolve these sorts of issues.
