Interesting campus rule
Los Angeles Community College has promulgated regulations banning even non-operational firearms used in safety classes because (in words of one trustee), "We should make sure that students don't come to campus being afraid to run into somebody with a gun."
But they exempt non-operational guns used in "theatrical performance."

Californians are always seeking to protect themselves from mythical and magical criminals who abide by "regulations".
So, no armed guards? What about police (who spend a fair amount of time at LACC campuses)?
Idiots in charge of the asylum, certainly.
Tony, who would have the authority to ask you to leave? Campus Police, I assume. Admin bureaucrats, probably not. Staff/Professors/Instructors, indignant, but would they have standing? Students, as always, have zero authority and are mere chattel for the Adminstrative lords.
Jim,
If I've blown concealment so badly that my firearm was exposed, I expect Campus or Local PD will be on their way for a Man With A Gun call. But I would respect the request of any official of the school if they requested I leave. Since CA is a May Issue state, my local Sheriff can pull my permit on a whim, and a trespassing charge would certainly fit that bill. I live in San Diego County, with a population of 3.5 million. There are about 750 CCWs issued to regular citizens. Our Sheriff is not pro-gun.
Even more interesting is that, with a California CCW, I can legally carry concealed on campus should I choose to go there, regardless of their "regulations". If I were an employee and they discovered my CCW, they could fire me. Were I a student, they could expel me. If they asked me to leave, and I refused, they could charge me with trespass. But State Code trumps local campus regs regarding the legality of my carrying my permitted concealed firearms in their hallowed halls.
