Gun dealer cancels Mark Kelly's AR-15 purchase

Posted by David Hardy · 26 March 2013 08:08 AM

You just can't be too careful about straw man sales. I suppose that also answers a question people have had, "how did he find a place with an AR-15 for sale? Apparently, even at $1,295 a pop, they still have to be backordered.

It's my understanding that the AR-15 that Kelly wanted to buy was a consignment and, since the requisite time to determine if it was stolen had not elapsed, he had to wait before he could take possession.

That was unfortunate for him because of the ensuing adverse publicity, but good for the gun shop because of the positive publicity.

On one of the MSNBC Democrat-shill shows they reported that there is a "20 day waiting period" in Arizona for buying a used firearm, and claimed the failure to deliver was an attack on Kelly's 1st amendment rights. No mention that really this "merchant of death" was upholding existing laws.
