"Media Matters" gets hit hard

Posted by David Hardy · 15 February 2012 08:53 AM

Ouch! The founding chief of the quite antigun MM turns out to be quite paranoid, convinced right-wing assassins were stalking him, and required his assistant to pack a Glock whenever escorting him, including to events in DC.

I'm not sure exactly how truly anti-gun Media Matters is. From my limited research, they got on the gun control wagon shortly after receiving a $400,000 grant from the Joyce Foundation "to support a gun and public safety issue initiative".

Fortunately, they appear to be about as incompetent at succeeding in the Gun Control debate as the rest of the Joyce Foundation recipients. For example, they hired a guy to report on 2010's SHOT Show who claims that he violated multiple laws, including the NFA in a conspiracy to murder.

An example of "bought and paid for journalism" at its finest.
