Good news from California

Posted by David Hardy · 1 September 2010 09:03 AM

Last night the legislature voted down registration of long arms, a prohibition on open carry, and a proposal for ammunition registration -- that is, not just requiring recordkeeping, but filing of those records with the government.

Looking for some analysis of how this went down. I'm hearing that the Senate actually passed it, but some obscure amendment could not be concurred with by the Assembly before the deadline.

The results are good, but be forewarned. These tyrants WILL be back just as soon as they can.

The Canadian-styled "Long Gun Registration" bill went down in the Senate because Rod Wright (D-Compton) repeatedly voted 'No', in spite of tremendous pressure from the Democrat caucus.

Even though a Democrat, Rod Wright believes the 2nd Amendment PROTECTS Americans. A belief strongly shared, I might add, by California Attorney General and Gubernatorial candidate Jerry Brown.

...Jerry Brown supports the 2nd Amendment; except when he doesn't. He strongly supported the .50 cal. rifle ban, a gungrabbers effort. Jerry has and will refuse to defend State law as his sworn duty ( California Atty Genl. ) requires. He's unreliable. He screwed us last time he was Governor and he's older and slimier now.

I was looking forward to the ammo regulations the same way I look forward to any CA regulations that will do nothing but drive sales tax revenue out of the CA into Arizona and the other border states. I hope their still regulating flat panel TVs though, the more business they send out of state, the faster they'll rock bottom and actually have to fix something.

>>>...the more business they send out of state, the faster they'll rock bottom and actually have to fix something.

I don't think they are that smart. They are prisoners of their ideology. They will never "get it". The only hope is that at some point the voters will "get it" and vote the bastids out.

I'm not that hopeful.
