Obama Campaign continues to try to cut off NRA ads
Here's the latest: a page where members can mass email TV station management.
UPDATE AND WARNING: read the comments. Apparently their webpage is sneaky enough to include an anti-NRA attachment on your message, no matter what text you enter for the message.
I went up on it, gave a fictitious name, address and email, and sent the stations an email thanking and encouraging them. One of the webpages (you go thru three to send the mail) has the following: "Time and again, Barack has defended citizens’ Constitutional right to bear arms, as well as the rights of sportsmen and hunters. " These folks really are shameless.

First, I note that the pre-filled in form letter created by the DNC refers to the right to bear arms "created by the Constitution." Demonstrating once again the Democrats' complete ignorance of the existence of fundamental, natural rights, inherent in humans, pre-existing the Constitution and not dependent on it in any way for their existence.
Here is how I modified their little form letter:
Dear Sir or Madam,
Please DO broadcast the NRA ad showing the truth about Barack Obama's record on gun control.
Time and again, Barack Obama has voted to violate the right to bear arms protected by the Constitution. However, Barack's campaign shamefully misrepresents Barack's position on guns and tries to convince voters that he supports the Second Amendment with incorrect information about his stance on the issue.
Obama's statement that he supports the Second Amendment rights of individuals is a lie, and is not fit for public broadcast. His record - and the legislation he has supported - speaks for itself.
The public airwaves are no place for his kind of hateful and misleading trash. I hope you will broadcast the NRA's ad on your station to prevent Obama from getting away with continuing to lie about his own record of voting in favor of every gun ban that crossed his desk.
Please broadcast this ad at once.
Sent my encouragement along to the stations that the NRA ads are accurate and to air them as frequently as possible.
It is very satisfying to use Democrat resources against them. I feel a calm I have not felt all week.
Sent my edited version along too. I really enjoy using their own tools against them.
I've emailed Dave so he'll issue a correction. This form is no good! Yes, you can edit the letter. However, it includes attachments like Obama's counsel's complaint letter and some of the FactCheck documents.
Subject: Economist John Lott demonstrates that NRA is right on Obama
Dear Sir or Madam,
I urge you to air the NRA's important message about Barack Obama's position on firearms. John Lott, a respected economist, has written an article reviewing and sorting the claims made by both sides. He has found that the NRA’s claims are correct. I urge you to read his piece and make up your own mind. Thank you.
Please stop using the form, guys. You're sending out Obama's legal threat every time you do it! It goes as an attachment that you cannot edit!
Your e-mail can mention the attachment and explain that you're using the Obama campaign's letter tool to demonstrate that they're being bombarded by an orchestrated campaign, not a bunch of their actual viewers.
"Time and again, Barack has defended citizens’ Constitutional right to bear arms [....]"
That's the third time I've seen him or his campaign say "bear arms" instead of "keep and bear arms."
Second message sent -
Since my first email to you I have been informed that this site run by the Obama campaign includes attachments outlining his lies regarding the NRA ads. The NRA ads show the truth behind Obama's lies with regards to his views of firearms ownership in the US and I urge to continue broadcasting the NRA advertisements. In no way do I support Obama's attacks on law abiding gun owners nor do I support his efforts to shut down free speech as are his tactics.
Please disregard any pro Obama messages that may be included as an attachment. This man is a threat to gun owners and all who believe in freedom of the press. Thank you.
Does anybody have any information indicating whether or not Obama's intimidation tactics are working?
This is what I wrote. And I used the address fields to further my statement just in case they were cleansing the text.
*lol*
There was just something so satisfying sending the automated email thru the Democrat system to "encourage" freedom and liberty

Subject [edit] Please support both the I & II Amendments
Message [edit] Dear Sir or Madam,
There seems to be a scare tactic that is trying to intimidate free speech. I want to let you know that I value both the First & Second Amendment.
Sadly, it looks like Obama, or at least his campaign, value winning an election over both the First & Second Amendments.
Obama's record as a Illinois State Rep speaks volumes regarding his viewpoint of guns and gun control.
It is my hope that you will not cease playing the NRA ads. Doing so would be an inhibition to the ideals of America. "Freedom of Speech, Thought, & Commerce"
Sincerely,
Jason Epperson
Well, if you use your real email address, then you get a "thank you" from the DNC "Rapid Response
Team."
Here's what I sent to them, using my real name and real email address. As little as I like Obama's 2nd Amendment stance, I like his 1st Amendment stance even less. The man is using Chicago-machine bullying tactics, and it galls me:
============
Dear Sir or Ma'am,
Please do NOT be intimidated by the Obama machine's efforts at violating the First Amendment, and at interfering with your right to contract to do business.
Obama has made clear for years that he wants to do whatever he can do to keep private citizens from owning and possessing usable handguns.
Obama CHOSE not to sign onto the HELLER friend of the court brief that supported the overturning of the oppressive gun-ban law in Washington, D.C.
Now, in addition to disregarding the U.S. Constitution in regards to the Second Amendment, Obama (through his machine) is attempting to disregard the First Amendment, and he is attempting to intimidate and bully media owners into not accepting advertising.
As shocked as I have been repeatedly about Obama's lack of support for the Second Amendment, I am even more shocked at his blatant disregard of the First Amendment and at his outrageous attempt at tortious interference with contract rights.
