Dave Kopel on the PA primary

Posted by David Hardy · 17 April 2008 10:06 AM

Dave has an op-ed in the Wall St. Journal.

Hat tip to reader Marcus P. ...

UPDATE: He's off a little on steel. It was known, at least as far back as the Romans, but nobody could mass produce it until the 19th century. Up thru the middle ages, it was common to make weapons of iron, with a steel cutting edge welded on.

That was a wonderfully written article.

Excellent work, David Kopel (as usual).

Another excellent piece of writing by Kopel.

Anti-gun creeps might chide him for stating that guns pre-date the invention of steel, however.

Nonetheless, Kopel is yet another warrior in the fight for our rights who marshals massive intellectual firepower.

He has contributed powerfully to the fight for Second Amendment rights since he entered the arena.

Thanks for keeping the anti-gun idiots/liars on the run, Mr. Kopel!!!

"Anti-gun creeps might chide him for stating that guns pre-date the invention of steel, however."

The first "guns" were made of iron which does pre-date the invention of steel.

I'd always understood that the earliest "guns" were cast from non-ferrous alloys.

But ah well....Kopel's article is more germane here.

"And that candidate could still support government lawsuits against publishers, local bans on newspapers, and draconian restrictions on political commentary."

Hmmm. Fortunately, we don't have any candidates supporting draconian restrictions on political commentary.
