A) I'm pleasantly surprised that he publicly said what he said. Too often it seems that they just quietly get their permit while continuing to publicly oppose CCW for everyone else.
B) I'm pleasantly surprised that he plans to go through the CCW procedure rather than get some special dispensation to carry via his position.
C) I'm pleasantly surprised that the story made the paper.
