Australian gun laws amended to allow bodyguards
New South Wales had to amend its gun laws to allow VP Dick Cheney to bring armed Secret Servicemen.

One of the (few sane) commenters on that story claims that a similar exclusion was hurried through for Pres. Clinton during one of his 'round-the-world tours.
(I assume that this past effort had a sunset clause or limited-term-of-effect rule.)
I wonder where we could find that earlier order.
I would like an address so I can see if they will afford me the same courtesy.
I guess armed guards are only for "important" people and not us proles, eh?
i'm disgusted that they actually did it. if they absolutely must have such oppressive laws, then they should also, at very least, have had the integrity and moral courage to tell Cheney to either disarm or stay out.
