British police crack down on gnome

Posted by David Hardy · 10 September 2006 04:34 PM

While (as I've noted earlier) Great Britain has gone to giving warnings for first-offense burglary, they still have time to crack down on garden gnome statues that a neighbor claims are (for unspecified reasons) offending him.

Good thing the guy didn't have plastic flamingoes on his lawn; they probably would have hauled him away in handcuffs...

Interesting story. It looks more like a Disney Dwarf. Its got a police look. Probably does as much good as a real British police given their ultra PC environment. Here's what I left them as a comment:

Used to be your Bobbies went out unarmed, That worked out quite well. Now you're all overrun with moslem terrorists from your former commonwealth countries, its not working out so well. They say if you can't be a good example, you can be a horrible warning. Well Great Britain is a good example of what NOT to do because we don't want to end up like you!
