Let him veto it if he dares. Ann Richards was a wildly popular democratic governor in Texas until she vetoed the first CCW bill passed by the legistlature. She got her ass kicked by Bush the next election. My sister-in-law who is a Texas liberal and lives in Austin called me to crow about it. I told her that Ann Richards had just opened the door to electing a republican governor. I bet her a 100 bucks that the sniveling liberal bitch has never paid.

When I asked her why the governor felt the need to veto the bill that had passed by a substantial majority she said "because those stupid hicks from the rural areas don't know what's good for them". The she said "I can't believe I just said that". I replied that what she meant was that she couldn't believe she said out loud and to me. We all know that's how they feel.
