Indiana "no retreat" law

Posted by David Hardy · 22 March 2006 08:41 AM

Indiana's governor just signed a no retreat bill into law.

From the report, Indiana didn't have a retreat requirement to begin with. This does not stop the Brady Campaign spokesman from describing the bill as "horrible" and "a big mistake."

He goes on, "We shouldn't be encouraging people to use deadly force in public. That's why we have trained police officers."

Hello,
I agree we shouldnt kill the Avon Lady, but my cousins were killed by the notorious serial killer Tommy Lynn Sells. My cousin, Keith Dardeen and his family were brutally murdered. If Keith had a firearm, Sells might not have gotten away. It started in a public place and carried into the home of Keith, but I now carry a firearm now that I am old enough and will use if if I feel my life is in danger. I am not going to fall victim like my cousin. Its so much different when it happens to you or loved ones. Its amazing how opinions change. The same person criticizing the ability to carry firearms will be the first person to buy one when their spouse or child is kidnapped or held up on the street. I hope I never have to use my firearm, but if another "Tommy Lynn Sells" comes after me or my loved ones, I have no issue unloading a clip into his or her chest. Thanks
