Hunter Biden plea deal falls apart

Posted by David Hardy · 26 July 2023 12:58 PM

Ha! Apparently he wanted even more than he was getting, which was two very serious tax charges dropped to misdemeanors, and the gun charge given diversion and eventual dismissal. He also wanted immunity for charges of failure to register as an agent of a foreign government.

More thoughts, from a defense attorney.

"So, this was either astounding incompetence or corruption on DOJ's part. I think it is corruption. This looks like a wink and a nod deal (as @shipwreckedcrew has noted) where DOJ would have plausible deniability if the judge asked no questions and accepted the deal."

Corruption is the way the really smart guys have been voting lately.

This appears as if the DOJ was working harder to absolve Biden then his own legal team. Good thing the judge went off script and actually asked a few questions.

I saw an allegation earlier that one of Biden's lawyers pretended to be from GOP, and asked the clerk to pull the amicus brief congress Repubs filed to ensure the judge was aware of the whistleblower testimony. The report said the judge gave the Biden legal team about 3 hrs to 'splain themselves. I have not seen that confirmed or resolved, yet.
