After the recent Roxborough High School shooting, the usual BS--

On MSN, "The only reason these instruments of death are available cheaply and without little restriction is because you want them to be."

From the Phildadelphia Inquirer: "Philadelphia City Council members on Thursday renewed calls for Mayor Jim Kenney to declare a state of emergency over the city's gun violence crisis and suggested the administration has been too slow to implement programs designed to stem the tide of shootings."

And today they found the seller of the guns-- a local sheriff's deputy.

Update in light of comment: That is strange. I wonder if the reporter made a mistake, or something very strange went on. Story says on October 13, the deputy sold an undercover informant the guns that were used in the killing. So the informant gave the guns to the killers?

He isn't charged with simply "selling guns" - he's charged with selling a firearm to a prohibited person. That's an important distinction, thank God.

Am I reading the article wrong? It seems to be saying that they recorded Ahmed selling the guns used in the shooting to the FBI Informant???? Is the informant the shooter or did he re-sell the guns to the shooter? "According to court documents, the same informant met again with Ahmad on Oct. 13. The FBI said Ahmad sold him the two semi-automatic pistols used in the Roxborough shooting and ammunition."

Sounds like the guns were being held after the school shooting when he removed them to sell.

The guns were used in a killing weeks before Ahmad meet with the informant. That might mean that Ahmad was stealing from the inventory locker or it might mean that his source had obtained the firearms after the shooting. We will find out that the firearms were provided to him by an undercover ATF agent in 3...2....1....
