Armed citizen stops Indianapolis mass slaying -- and Antis react

Posted by David Hardy · 18 July 2022 03:00 PM

A mass slaying at a shopping mall is stopped by the accurate fire of a 22 year-old civilian.

The head of Brady Campaign seems to see him as a vigilante;

"Here's what we're not going to do: continue to uplift the NRA myth of a "good guy with a gun."

Let me be clear: If more guns made us safer, America would be the safest country in the WORLD.

We need sensible gun laws, not vigilante safety nets."

And there's more. "Shootouts in malls between the bad guy & good guy is not freedom. It's a war zone. It's the Wild West. It's a 3rd world nation. It's sick. Stop glorifying the good guy with a gun. If your only thought is "well it could have been worse," then you're the problem." "My opinion of the Greenwood Mall mass shooting yesterday: 4 people are dead. Other people are saying a civilian killing the shooter is a sign that we are on the right track. This is chaos we're living in, not a viable society." "You're comfortable with the firearms aim of a random mall shopper. Others are not."

On the bright side, the cops showed up in time to help direct traffic!

Simple. They would rather people die than they have the means to defend themselves.

The mass shooter was obviously maimed by White Society and now they will not have an opportunity to "cure" him. He would not have been prosecuted, anyway.

This is the mindset of a Progressive. They think the world can be made perfectly safe and they can live their life easily with no requirement for risk assessment or management. They think absolute safety can be achieved. And usually without anything more harsh than words being employed.

You're comfortable with the firearms aim of a random mall shopper.
More so than with many cops! Percentage of hits on target by cops is demonstrably terrible. Most people who carry are very diligent about their practice.

I am sure the shooter was not attracted to the mall because it was a "Gun Free Zone".

Brady Campaign would not exist without the mentally ill shooting people in public places.

Brady Campaign makes a lot of money fear mongering about it.

Thus, Brady Campaign endorses mass shootings in public places.

No shootings, no Brady. Simple as that.

I'll take my chances with a room full of armed rednecks over a beta-boy gun free zone anytime.

I am struck by the parallel mindset between the anti-woodland management people and the anti-self-defense crowd. The anti-timber-management crowd would much rather see forests burn than to have that same timber harvested and turned into lumber. This is a form of mental illness that is hard to fathom. Yet the anti-self-defense crowd has the same sort of mindset. They would rather be killed by random wackos than see everyday open carry but average people.

In my rural location infested with cougars, I open carry almost every day.

One slightly subtle fallacy I see repeated in the media is the low number of citizens who take down shooters WITHOUT also pointing out how many places are off limits for law-abiding citizens to carry.
