California: felon given ticket for driving stolen car, promptly commits murder
Story here.
The perp was caught in a stolen car, but released with a citation due to "covid protocols" that led to demands for fewer incarcerations.
"Aside from the stolen car, arrest records show Mr. Walton was currently on felony probation for a carjacking out of Contra Costa County in May of last year. Plus, three other felony arrests and a felony conviction related to auto theft and resisting arrest in California. Not to mention, Walton had a bench warrant out for his arrest in Georgia for a felony domestic violence case against one of the victims he is now suspected of murdering."

"COVID protocols may be to blame..."
"...ultimately the Sheriff's Office is responsible..."
"Meantime, the Sheriff's Office is struggling with a staffing shortage. The agency confirmed they're approximately 44 deputies short."
Yeah, and WHO exactly is responsible for all this? Name some names! The media would have us believe politicians and bureaucrats are never to blame, just some amorphous "protocol" or "office"... Unless of course it is done by one of us deplorable taxpayers.
It seems clear that only a total fool would expect to be protected by the "law".
Perhaps it would be useful to think of prosecution and incarceration to be the "quarantine" of the carrier of a lethal disease. Such quarantine prevents the spread of death and devastation.
