Homicides up

Posted by David Hardy · 10 December 2021 10:23 AM

The homicide rate is greatly up, at least in major cities, tho any push for gun control is unlikely because left/progressives/whatever are insisting that it really isn't a bad thing. They have to, because it's coming hot on the heels of their BLM, defund the police, end bail, etc. campaigns.

Something I noticed years ago, and haven't kept up on or researched more recently, is that accidental automobile deaths tend to parallel homicide trends. Sure enough, in the first half of 2021, auto fatalities rose by 18%, the largest increase since they've kept records.

Well, you can't keep your hands at 10 & 2 when in the middle of a rolling gun battle on a Chicago toll road at 80 MPH.

I have to say that during the lockdown the roads were empty. Since things started opening they are crowded, not quite as much as before the lockdown but everyone is traveling faster some ridiculously so.
I was on a road in NJ where the speed limit went down to 55 but everyone is doing 70. Some guy comes along and is going so fast that he has to pass on the left hand shoulder. He never slowed down. I was desperately try to get as far right as possible so the crash would not affect me. Some how he did not crash/ hit anything.
