Hurrah!
Kyle Rittenhouse not guilty on all counts!
This just in, an email from Moms Demand Action:
"Let me be clear: this verdict of not guilty is a miscarriage of justice and an indictment of our broken criminal justice system. A white teenager got his hands on a semi-automatic rifle, showed up to a demonstration for Black Lives, fatally shot Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber, wounded Gaige Grosskreutz, and he wasn't held accountable.
And it's exactly what the NRA wants--a society where anyone can have a gun anywhere with no training and no questions asked, and where people feel emboldened to shoot anyone over the slightest provocation without fear of consequences.
That's why we must continue to fight the gun lobby's extreme agenda and work to advance common sense gun safety policies that keep our communities safe."

I looked at the responses to Victoria Taft's opinion, and apparently a lot of people who support the 2nd Amendment do not know how to respond in a measured, logical, rational way. Taft's response was "IGNORE THE TROLLS." That one retort, despite being Argumentum ad Hominem, dominates all the other opinions. Please let the "antis" be the trolls.
The ugly truth is- no amount of arguing the FACTS is going to convince any of the communists; they simply reject reason that runs counter to their views, then start an attack of their own on whomever put forth reason. REMEMBER- if you carry, threat and attack against you are separated by a split second or less in most cases , and you cannot simply wait to be incapacitated before reacting, even if it's to get into a different position, thus spoiling the effect of that first blow, if delivered by hands with or without object or feet with or without shoes or boots. Time is short if someone lunges at you to attempt to harm and disarm you, and you know what comes next. A fight for your life is usually over in seconds, and can take place anywhere there are other people. Stay away from crowds of people strange to you, Be aware of False Flag people who may draw you near to surround and attack you, no matter WHAT the setting- you are no safer in a Mall than you are at a burning business district. DO NOT BE BAITED INTO A DISTRACTING ARGUMENT WHILE OTHERS POSITION THEMSELVES TO BEAT YOU TO DEATH, AND DISAPPEAR.
I've had hundreds of hours of training by some of the best in the business, but by far the #1 lesson is "Don't be there". Don't put yourself in that position. It isn't 100% possible to avoid risk, but much of it can be mitigated by application of common sense. There is a great deal of difference between the situation Rittenhouse put himself in, and something like that of Dr. Suzanna Gratia-Hupp.
Use care. There will be lots of "twitchy" people out there.
