Va Citizens Self Defense League sues Coalition to Stop Gun Violence

It sues for defamation, over CSGV calling it a "domestic terror organization." I can't give it good odds, regrettably; courts do NOT favor defamation suits at all. CSGV will probably start off with the argument that no one could have understood they really meant it literally.

Who defines “terrorist”?
The last presidential election saw a level of polarization where some called their political adversaries “terrorists”. Some of the countries top politicians took up this mantra even calling for their political opponents to be "re-educated". Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy called the NRA (and their 5 million members) terrorists, then San Francisco officially labeled the NRA a terrorist organization.
San Fransisco's action had to be fought in court. Words matter.

At least they can't claim prosecutorial or qualified immunity. I wonder if they'll try to hide behind SCOTUS' "New York Times Co. v. Sullivan"(1964)?... "Just spreading the news".

Defamation was the same claim against the creative editing done by Katie Couric's journalism. I'm optimistic for a win, but that suit seemed more winnable and it was a bust.
