Defensive gun uses far outnumber gun homicides
That's the subject of an article at Real Clear Investigations. Prof. Kleck has written first-rate articles and books on the subject for decades.

There are far more defensive gun uses than murders? Of course there are... but what is the ratio of defensive gun uses versus gun crimes in general, not murders alone? That would be a more relevant comparison.
If you look at killings alone, gun murders more much common than justified homicides.
Prof. Kleck? Article is by John Lott, no?
