"Big John" Dingell has passed on

Posted by David Hardy · 8 February 2019 06:53 AM

After Age 92, after serving 60 years in Congress. I met him a few times, circa 1980 .... gad, 39 years ago. He did much good for the right to arms, extending back to the Gun Control Act controversy... over half a century ago.

Regardless of god or bad, he did not do good for the USA. The concept of citizens serving for a short time and going home was central to the government. He simply proved that we still have people who want to control the rest of us. Staying in Congress left no room for varied ideas to blossom. Those who stay in there have visions of their own grandeur and are petty tyrants of some sort. The pattern set by Washington for the presidency should be the same pattern for all government INCLUDING the bureaucrats.

Never reelect the incumbent. Always vote for new blood.
