Law school suspends student for owning guns
The University of North Texas suspends a law student, apparently because he owned guns. There was an anonymous claim that he had threatened someone, a claim that he clearly refuted (not just with witnesses that said he wasn't at the location, but by producing his cell phone's GPS data).

As a lawyer, perhaps you can explain how a law school, of all places, has forgotten about due process? Is it time?
Fast reaching yellow vest time!
To anonymous: Why would anyone think lawyers are any better than average people? They are as corruptible, and IMO more corruptible, than the rest of us. Lawyers, nee judges, live in a world where they think they are in charge, lie to the people, screw with Constitutions, ruin our way of life, etc. They don't learn that they serve us, holding whatever authority they have from us and at our pleasure.
As the joke says, What do you call 1000 lawyers at the bottom of the sea? A good start!
I would be find a very good, expensive lawyer and would sue them to my richness.
This typwe of stuff has to have a consequence and it has to be a consequence that hurts them bad
Maybe it was inaccurate reporting, I will have to dig further to confirm.
It was reported that the decision in the 9th circus with respect to an asylum ban by the Trump administration is not lawful because it does not comport with existing laws and regulations.
Slack jawed, I could hardly believe what I heard.
What about comportment with the U.S. Constitution?
I suspect that even if it were inaccurate reporting it would be accurate of the conduct of the 9th.
There are comments following the AMMOLAND article, from students that report that they have observed Masin openly display his firearm in "study groups," in violation of TX campus carry laws.
Some of the students also report that Masin made threats that he would "shoot up" the school if he did not do well on his final exams.
If these are the behaviors reported to the college, even anonymously, the college is in between a rock and a hard place and had to act.
Maybe the actions of the college are improper, maybe not.
There are two sides to every story. I will withhold judgement until everyone has had their chance to speak.
Video or it didn't happen.
Is there enough oil money in Texas, or gold in Fort Knox to make him whole again?
