A day in the annals of non-news
NRA examined its records for 2016, 2017, and 2018, searching for revenue coming from addresses in Russia, and found that 23 people in Russia paid their dues or for magazine subscriptions, and two gave a total of $525 in contributions to NRA (and not its Political Victory Fund). ABC News reports this as "NRA discloses two dozen additional contributions from Russian donors," and runs a long story on it.

Ok. The NRA checked their records and found less than $1,500 came from Russia. How much money has NPR received from Russia?
I see two problems with this story. The first one is why is the NRA providing member information of any sort to Congress, wasn't that battle fought a few elections ago and the government told to go pound sand? Second, why does a Russian address automatically mean a Russian donor? Did the thought that perhaps they are American citizens living in Russia for business or government reasons not cross anyone's mind? I don't recall a citizenship question when I joined NRA.
