Should Greece complain of American universities' cultural appropriation of philosophy, logic, drama, sciences, speech and rhetoric, architecture, medicine, art, and competitive sports? "You guys didn't invent that, we did!"

Appropriation or inheritance?
Given that we are a country of immigrants did we really appropriate or are we just using our "culture". I mean I am a Scot by heritage but nobody would want to eat anything but scones and shortbread from it so I have to have something else or I would starve :)
Well sure, but it's not like they are still using them.
