H&K Stopping American sales?

Posted by David Hardy · 4 May 2017 09:42 PM

An FFL has sent me a notice alleged to come from H&K (in Germany) saying that it has ceased supplying the domestic US market as of May 1, owing to some general BS, and asking the FFL to respond to a survey giving his location and how many various types of H&K arms he has sold (period of the sales not specified). The response is to be mailed to H&K at Str. 1, 78727 Oberdorf aN. The FFL enclosed an image of the alleged notice.

It sounds like BS to me, although I cannot figure out a motive.

Is this the same H & K that is supposedly going to build a plant in Georgia (USA)?

You don't suspect the Brady Bunch?

Seems like a scam that uses a relatively unbelievable entree to separate gullible people from the general public. If this FFL responds, the scammer will think the FFL is gullible, and then follow up by asking for whatever the scammer really wants.

To be clear, Shootin' Buddy may well be correct too. Brady Bunch = Scam as far as I'm concerned.

I have to echo John and would be contacting H&K directly after looking up the address/email myself. Just too much stuff going on to take it at face value

Bob Owens is claiming this to be a scam. Looks to be some SJW flake trying to sow confusion amongst the rank & file.

" some SJW flake trying to sow confusion amongst the rank & file"

Two can play that.

Not that I'd ever do it, but like Chesterton said, 'one who believes in nothing will believe anything' and the SJWs believe in nothing but naked power and their own righteousness, and they seem to be flush with money. Green fields for a skilled con man.

Here's the thing that makes it believable though...if *any* major gun maker was going to do this it would be H&K whose unofficial motto to American civilian gun buyers has long been "because you suck and we hate you". Seriously, their idea of "customer service" is notorious as is their trend of "don't let the civvies have anything fun". So on that level it's believable.

Hence the question: since when do SJW gun grabbers know that much about how is gunnies view a company like H&K?
