Hillary should have listened to Bill

Posted by David Hardy · 2 November 2015 09:41 AM

Nearly two years ago, "Bill Clinton Warns Democrats Against Overreaching on Gun Debate."

"Former President Bill Clinton warned a group of top Democratic donors at a private Saturday meeting not to underestimate the passions that gun control stirs among many Americans.
"Do not patronize the passionate supporters of your opponents by looking down your nose at them," Clinton said.
"Alot of these people live in a world very different from the world lived in by the people proposing these things," Clinton said. "I know because I come from this world.""

Two things will assure a Republican victory in 2016:

1. Hillary as (D) nominee, and

2. Rabid liberal pursuit of tighter gun control

Bill ought to know - he blamed the 1994 assault weapon ban for subsequent Dem election losses.

Deja vu all over again.

If Al Gore had maintained a position on Gun Rights in 2000 instead of flopping over to Gun Control, he would have won his home state of Tennessee and Clinton's home state of Arkansas. Instead, he lost both. Florida would have been an interesting footnote, but would have been insignificant in the Electoral College.

This would not be a guarantee of how he would vote, of course. It's commonly assumed that politician's lie to get elected, and that their true believers forgive them when they revert.

...Just as you, Jim D. , shilled for Moony Brown and portrayed him as something he was not.

Dave D.! I am SO sorry! If you want to come back and carry on, I'll check back on this thread more often.

Stop lying. YOU were the one that attempted to portray TWO CONSECUTIVE ANTI-GUNNERS as acceptable. I held out that Jerry Brown was better on Gun Rights than either Meg Whitman or Neel Kashkari. You supported them only because they were Republican. You're still on the wrong site, you'd be more suited on some other pro-Republican, anti-gun site. Have you tried Huffington Post?
