You don't need no steenking permit in Maine

Posted by David Hardy · 9 July 2015 07:03 PM

Maine becomes latest State to allow concealed carry without a permit requirement. Note the law goes into effect 90 days after the legislature adjourns, which would mean an effective date sometimes in October.

I note that the new law apparently only allows ME residents to carry without a permit. The rest of us are not so trustworthy, I guess.

My impression is that VT allows anybody to carry open or concealed, but do any other "Constitutional Carry" states allow nonresidents the same privileges as their residents?

Wyoming is WYO residents only.

I THINK AK is anybody, but I don't know about AZ.

As a Maine resident, my understanding is that the Maine law says nothing about resident or non-resident.. i think if you are a non-prohibited person, you are good to go...
