Close the police loophole!

Posted by David Hardy · 15 July 2015 05:01 PM

A New York City police officer is busted for stealing other LEO's guns and selling them to a drug ring.

A Florida officer loses a submachine gun, an assault rifle, and two handguns, stolen from his car.

A California officer leaves loaded gun on motorcycle during school safety demonstration, and three students are injured.

A Pennsylvania officer is charged with reckless endangerment after a gun accident that killed a State Trooper.

A federal agent has a gun stolen, which an illegal alien uses to murder a girl, and the city responds by proposing ammunition record keeping on its one FFL.

A better answer: close the police loophole!

(Hat tip to Mark Moritz for the idea)

If the individual officers were both financially and legally (if they loose their gun and someone is shot they can be sued and prosecuted)I bet there would be a ot less "lost" police firearms.

Maybe it's time to disarm the police. Do they really NEED all that firepower?
I'll bet their power of persuasion would get a lot better. I suppose they could keep the tasers and pepper spray, just in case.

In Colorado, the only shooting inside a courthouse in the last 30 years (to the best of my aging memory)resulted in civilians being banned from carrying in all court buildings in the state. The shooting was by a police officer, who shot his wife's divorce attorney.

We are going to loose our guns, freedom and liberty along with the Constitution which is proving to be a worthless piece of paper. Why? Because we Americans are lazy, caring only with our immediate concern and are indoctrinated into a sense of self helplessness. We vote or don't, always getting what we've always gotten. A social progressive communst Marx ideology.
The simple example given above demonstrates the average quality of American stupidity and ignorance which guides us by our noses'. Is there any hope for us at all?

Many are forgetting the BILLIONAIRE LOOPHOLE. When I saw Bloomberg, he had 6 bodyguards. With a primary and BUG each that's a dozen automatic weapons! Of course that's not counting vehicle weapons. Bloomberg's hired gunmen certainly have hundreds of 'fully loaded ammunition cartridges' at all times. This is an outrage. How does this make common sense?...or our children any safer? The same is true of Steyer, Gates, Bezos, etc. But they all push gun control on little people, while armed to the teeth! Close the billionaire loophole!

Are you talking about the NFA exemption for LEO as well?

He will be for the 2nd until he gets into power and then he will want to make sure nobody can take his power away and so will be against the 2nd
