Puzzling events in Jackson v. San Francisco
The Supreme Court has relisted the petition for cert. four times. That is, it's been scheduled for a vote on whether to take the case, and then rescheduled for a later vote, four times over. I've seen that happen once on cases (maybe the Justices wanted more time to mull it over, maybe they judge couldn't get to it in time) but never this many.
Here's the ruling from which cert. was applied for. It's a denial of a preliminary injunction, where the Ninth Circuit found the plaintiffs were not "likely" to win the case in the end, and not a final ruling in the case.
UPDATE: Today (May 26) the Court issued its rulings from the May 21 conference. No sign of Jackson. It must have been postponed again.

Now it looks as if it is relisted once again.
It has been rescheduled for May 28th.
Remarkable.
I wonder what is going on. Who makes the decision to reschedule?
Are there other cases that are being heard?
Seems to be relisted once again. Praying for a grant here.
Man that 9th Circuit danced around the legal issues for a great portion of that decision. Acknowledged that the case was virtually identical to Heller, and then said, no we think this is not as bad as Heller. So basically they ruled with a lower standard than Heller, and in contrary to Heller, when they should have applied Heller in full.
"and required other firearms to be kept "unloaded and disassembled or bound by a trigger lock or similar device," violated the plaintiff's Second Amendment rights. - Heller" which is exactly what 4512 does.
