Potential mass murder stopped by incredible shot
In Austin, a gunman begins firing into buildings. An policeman going off-duty stops him with a 110 yard one-handed pistol shot. The officer was with the mounted unit, and holding two horses' reins in his other hand; he scored a solid chest hit.

Would it be improper to say that God was with the officer that day? We are all God's children, but as was pointed out when David Kaczynski told the FBI about his brother, Theodore, the Unabomber, someone who does such things belongs in jail, and if the exigencies of the circumstances do not permit less lethal treatments, dead.
That's where all those practice sessions on the range pay off ... that police officer was a hero!
