Prosecutors must have priorities

Posted by David Hardy · 10 August 2014 09:38 PM

And we now know those of New Jersey District Attorney Jim McClain. NJ has a diversion program for first offenders, which enables them to have their charges dismissed if they stay out of trouble for a time.

McClain earlier allowed diversion in the case of Ray Rice, who was accused of having beaten his wife unconscious before dragging her out of an elevator. But he denied it in the case of Shaneen Allen, a 27 year old mother, who mistakenly thought that New Jersey recognized her Pennsylvania license to carry, and now faces a 3.5 year mandatory minimum sentence. Rice was, however, a sports star, and we all know they don't have to follow the law.

Yes he is a sports person. And we of the gun are the worst criminals known. At least to communist liberals.

Well if it weren't for the supreme court and its 1833 decision and the BS about the 2nd not being absolute, we wouldn't have this garbage. As the Framers and the writers who influenced the Framers noted Rights come from the Creator and are inalienable, meaning NOT ABLE TO BE GIVEN UP OR TAKEN BY GOVERNMENT.

Any serious student of the concepts central to the formation of the new style of government established by the Constitution knows that the individual is given all sovereignty by the Creator and only allows some small portion of his/her sovereignty to the society and government which he/she joins (10th amendment).

The courts have either gotten so many things about the Constitution wrong or have simply usurped powers so that we have nothing in common today with the original concepts.stitution.

And for those who refer to the English Bill of Rights as an example, I say You do not understand that the Framers looked at how it was done in England and said, 'Hey that's all wrong!'. The idea that one could have arms according to one's station was English but nothing in the 2nd leads one to believe the Framers of the 2nd continued the idea.

The Foundering Fathers also said that we did not need a Bill of Rights in the federal Constitution because the feds had no authority to legislate in those areas. Check it out in Eliott's Debates. There's more in there like considering letting the President temporarily suspend a law and voting it down 10 states to nothing. Yet we sit here on our arses and watch Presidents violate the law and their oath and do nothing.

Those who look for intent concerning a ratified amendment or what have you need to look into the intent of EVERY person who voted for the amendment not just to a few vocal individuals. Unless we know what each and every person on the majority thought we can only surmise the why. Maybe we would be correct but we are just as likely wrong. We are not God and we are not able to see the intent of others. What we do see is our reality and we impart our beliefs on the concept just I as do here.
