911 gives advice....

Telling a woman whose house is being burglarized to "put the gun down."

I like her response: I'll put the gun down when I see the police."

The 911 operator should be fired on the spot for telling her that. What kind of person tells someone who is recovering from any surgery to put their gun down while their home is being broken into, BEFORE the police arrive?

Yea I totally agree, I would never put down weapon while my home is being broken into until the police did arrive.

Well, if they wanted her to become one of the "proper" statistics - i.e., shot with her own weapon, they told her exactly how to do it. Fortunately for her, she wasn't interested in becoming one of those stats.
