The first NRA president to have his picture on a stamp...

Posted by David Hardy · 22 February 2014 06:30 PM

Is Charleton Heston.

I still have some "My President is Charleton Heston" bumper stickers, issued during the Clinton presidency.

Not True, though likely the first one remembered now-days to be associated with the NRA. Both President Grant and General Sheridan appeared on stamps after serving as NRA presidents. :P

I always thought those bumper stickers were weird, in a denying reality, "la la la, I can't hear you!" sort of way.

Now the Postal Service is back-tracking on the idea (even though it's about his acting career, not his being NRA President)!

And, it's Charlton.
