Taking responsibility

Posted by David Hardy · 7 November 2013 10:19 AM

Reading, PA. Two masked robbers enter a convenience store, pointing stolen revolvers at the clerk. A citizen outside sees this, calls 911. When the robbers exit the store, they threaten him, and he shoots and kills both.

Now, their families demand justice:

"The two men were shot and killed by a private citizen while leaving the store, and family members want to see charges pressed.

"[William] had no right to lose his life over something that man could have called the police for," said Medina. "He took the law into his own hands and walked away scot-free."

"How about if people just start running around here, policing the city on their own? How much worse is it going to get?" said Peter Ratel, Medina's cousin.

The family members said they are hurt by comments suggesting the alleged robbers were "thugs.""

Oh how sad...too bad. These "people" can gnash their teeth, pull their hair ,rant and rail, scream and shout, and run about but it is to no avail cause they are losers just like the deceased. The shooter was threatened by the armed shootee and the shootee lost and there is nothing the air heads can do about it. Im inclined to believe they are members of Those Mbombos chosen.

...The citizen shooter wasn't identified.....lemme guess......his last name is Zimmerman. I say, let George do it.

"Support Your Local Armed Robber"

And people wonder how it is that neighborhoods descend into crime infestation. It is when the population cannot tell the difference between a predatory criminal and an honest person, and advocate on behalf of the rights of the predators. Armed robbery is supposed to be a high risk occupation; they got what was coming to them.

Too bad these family members didn't raise their spawn to be decent folks.

Since they didn't, too fing bad. They don't get a say.

I suppose the DA has to be both politically correct and protective of his future work by saying "no one wants to see anyone else get hurt". But frankly, we'd be better off if every armed robber got shot dead on the spot. Save the local citizens the cost of the trial and incarceration, and the wider community from the (statistically) likely future predations of the robber. A win/win for society as a whole.

Need to watch this one - initialy story says the shooter came up on the robbers as they exited the store and drew down on them while saying "I'm calling 9-1-1". Now it says he never drew first.

Who to believe? (And MSM is not my first choice.)

stay safe.

Wow really, I understand that robber has a family so does everybody too, so does every other bad guys in the world. It's understandable that you(robber's family) is "defending" a family member, but I honestly take no pity for people who commit crime and are POS to society. I'm sorry but if you make that decision to rob, kill, injure someone, assault, etc than what gives you any right to get a "pass"? Take full responsibility and man up. And no I won't donate to your funeral expenses or some other lame excuse for charity to the grieving bad guy's family. Seriously use some freaken common sense and logic of the situation.

Even if it's my own family members or child, and they do something dangerous and just plainly immoral, why should I treat them "nicely"? That just tells me you're F-ed up as much more and join the rest of the scum of society. Flame me and be a troll but it is the truth.

"their families demand justice."
It appears that Justice was done, appropriately so.
