Points long overlooked by the "media" and facts avoided by those claiming "the gun lobby never compromises."

We truly appreciate all your hard work. I don't think there is anyone that puts our the quality material like you do.

You find a way to explain complex issues is ways that are easy for anyone to understand.

I'd love to get a pdf of that New Yorker article (July 26, 1976) in which Pete Shields shares his intention to get all guns banned.

Excellent article, though I'd make one point and a slight correction:

Point: Might want to give perspective to the 300 homicides number, being such a small percentage of overall homicides.

Correction: New Jersey does not require any license to own firearms. It requires permits to purchase any in-state. If one moves to New Jersey with owned firearms (that are NJ legal), the state has no involvement, nor is any registration or licensing required.

Great article, Mr. Hardy, this will be useful in my next reasoned argument with an anti.

Minor correction - New Jersey does not require a "license" to *OWN* firearms. The NJ FID (Firearms Purchaser Identification card) is required to *PURCHASE* firearms and some kinds of ammunition (handgun ammunition by law, but some retailers require it for other ammunition types), but it is not required to possess firearms.

It is perfectly legal to move into NJ with firearms acquired elsewhere and continue to possess them (as long as they are NJ legal) without applying for an FID card.
