I feel sympathy...

For how those in mostly-black neighborhoods feel about police, when I see this video.

Seems like the dog's owner had SEVERAL ways to prevent the whole thing and chose not to...

This is a bad one. Carlos Miller's website shows tons of cases of cops arresting people for filming them. In this particular case it appears that the cops wanted to kill the dog. To achieve that end they continued "roughing up" the guy in cuffs including hands on throat and basic man-handling until the dog freaked out enough to attack and they had the excuse they needed.

One day they'll run into somebody who does macho insanity better than they do. I'm going to enjoy watching the aftermath of that.

Just outrageous. The arrest is unconstitutional and shooting the dog was just monumental cruelty. Miserable thugs wearing uniforms.

I am very, very skeptical of arrests for "interfering with police" and similar vague and often abused laws. Nevertheless, this does appear to be a case where the arrest was justified. The guy drove up to a crime scene where the police were working and blasted loud music. They told him he was making it hard for them to hear what was going on, and to please turn it down. He refused. That's a solid arrest. He was not arrested for the filming.

What's going to happen when video glasses like Eyez become common?

Instead of "don't film me", it'll be, "Don't look at me! You've got glasses on, don't look at me, your're interfering with my work by looking at me!"

Sounds like one of those schizo's at the library who hasn't bathed since Bush was President, doesn't it?

What reasonable expectation of privacy does uniformed LEO have, anyway? They aren't under cover, so secret identity isn't at issue here.
